Friday’s 27-4 dinner (I’m sure the URL will exist by the time you read this, otherwise try this one!) was fun. At the Hotel School, the venue was ideal for its purposes, and there seemed to be a lot more mixing.
I gave a shortened, slightly tailored version of my technology and consciousness talk I’d prepared last year for the Origin Festival. My favourite talk was by Mike Scott of Bru and Boegie fame, about where he gets his inspiration, and the process he follows to create his cartoons.
I also ended up with a Skyrove router. Skyrove’s Henk donated three to be auctioned to raise funds for iCommons. I was bidding to help raise the price, never expecting to get it at such a low rate 🙂 Now to put it to good use.
Overall it seems most people enjoyed the event, including those who had complaints last time 🙂 It’s going to be a permanent venue, which is probably a good decision.
Thanks to Dave, Stormhoek and everyone involved.

Ian .. LOL yeah there was that attempt at connection ages ago. So stoked that I finally got to meetup at 27 though, and loved your presentation.
