Well that’s what I intended to write anyway, seeing as its a particular interest of mine (I’ve just learnt that qualifies me as a Peaknik), and there’re lots of misinformed ideas out there. But I’ve decided to save myself the stress of trying to do what others can do much better, and post a few useful links instead 🙂
From Kuroshin, with great comments too
- Peak Oil: The next big thing – Part 2 (with great comments)
- Peak Oil: The next big thing
From Alternet
- 2006 – the year of the oil collapse – an over-the-top apocolyptian viewpoint predicting global wars
- Planning for the peak
- Over the peak
From George Monbiot
- Worse than fossil fuel – biodiesel, the most carbon-intensive fuel on earth?
- How much energy do we have? – a negative view of the ability of renewables to provide for energy needs.
- The Struggle Against Ourselves – changing our behaviour to use less energy.
From Wikipedia – don’t forget to use the history, as many of these are in the midst of edit wars. They also contain a great set of further resources.
- Hubbert Peak Theory – are you a peaknik and/or a Doomer?
- The Implications of Peak Oil
- Alternative fuel
- Renewable energy
Happy reading.
